Fans of the Grenada Soca Monarch Lavaman braved the chill and long queues, and they were not dissapointed. Over 800 revellers attended taking Scala almost to its capacity. It was hot inside. DJs Bones, Tate and Tyrone had the party swinging.
Scrappy performed first and warmed up the crowd. But all anticipation was for the KING. Back stage Lava with white towel over his head, similar to a boxing champ conserving his heat. He was jumping on the spot, focusing the his energies. Then the moment came. 800 voices shouting Lava Lava Lava... We heard his voice first, then the King energed on the stage to a frenzy! Every flag was waving, girls screaming.
This is the longest I have seen Lava on stage. The hype was at fever pitch and he kept it right there for the duration of his performance. Hit after hit, the crowd were ready. Sing along, shout outs, everything was there.
Some revellers even through powder which added a new dimension...looked good too. AT one point, Lava almost got pulled into the audience by some female fans. Luckily he kept his balance and continued. Another fan took the mic and started singing along to Gal Alone. It was 100% hype.
When Lava left the stage for the second time, the roar could be heard in Grenada, it was the roar saying thanks to the king for representing in full effect.

The Rum Fest (London) on Saturday 14th October at Excel...one word...blast...!!! Well supported and well organised, Ian Burell and the team have done it again...Bringing together rum producers from around the world to bring focus to an industry...full of history and plenty of products.
From the lite fun to the hardcore 100% whites, rums came in wide range of tastes, bottles and colours, to meet the tastes and curiosity of everyone. The Caribbean was really well represented, impressed!!

"In a world, where courage, survival, grit, tenacity & ambition... are the substance of LEGENDS... their stories of good over evil, overcoming insurmountable odds, rising from humble, poor beginnings to greatness, glory, leadership and ultimate champion... These, inspire human achievement against the greatest of odds, against personal challenges and foes. And when the dust settles, when the light of day turns into the darkest of nights....when generations make way to succession of prince and princesses... LEGENDS live on!!"
